Free emergency guidance
I think I've been scammed.
Do not panic and do not keep talking to the sender or caller. Tell us what happened and we'll show the most important steps first. You do not need a TechBuds membership to use this page.
What happened?
Choose everything that applies. Do not enter the actual password, card number, bank number or verification code here.
Do these steps now
- 1
Stop communicating with them
Do not reply, click another link, send another payment, or follow any more instructions from the person who contacted you.
- 2
Turn on two-step verification where possible
After securing the account, enable two-factor authentication using the official account settings. Never give future verification codes to another person.
- 3
Keep evidence
Save screenshots, phone numbers, email addresses, transaction details and dates. Do not keep interacting with the scammer just to collect more evidence.
